Vaxholm

Just one hour away with the Waxholmsbåt from Stockholm or 30 minutes by car. A smaller coastline city/village with an old history. It has a beautiful fort on a smaller island that you can visit (with a taxiboat) and have a guided tour at.

If you like to stroll around there are some small pittoresk shops as well.

Vaxholm is famous for its fika places. Our favorite place is Vaxholms Hembygdsgårds Cafe. There you can eat lunch or have a fika from their big selection.

Glass på Hörnet” is in the corner closest to the castle. It is a great ice cream place.
